Welcome to Great Hearts Cicero Prep, Serving Grades 6-12
Cicero Preparatory Academy will begin distance learning instruction for all enrolled students on Monday, August 10, 2020.
Cicero Preparatory Academy is a state-chartered public school providing an honors level liberal arts curriculum in the tradition of the finest independent private schools. As such, we offer an outstanding opportunity for families who want the very best in a college preparatory institution.
Cicero Prep is a member of the prestigious Great Hearts Academies network of prep schools in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Together, the Great Hearts Academies are setting a new standard and purpose for public secondary education. Our schools believe in each student’s innate potential to comprehend the rich tradition of Western Civilization to which he/she is heir and to grow in the virtues that mark a profound, philosophical life summarized by the triad of our Latin motto: verum, pulchrum, bonum – truth, beauty and goodness.
We invite interested parents and prospective students to learn more about this opportunity by clicking the links above or watching the video below.
On-Site Online Learning
Great Hearts will be providing a physical space for students who have a specific need for support that cannot be met in the online learning environment. From Monday, August 17 until our schools open for in-building learning, we will host Great Hearts students at three of our Phoenix-area locations. Those locations will be:
- Archway Chandler/Chandler Prep located at 1951 North Alma School Road, Chandler, AZ 85224
- Archway Scottsdale located at 16648 North 94th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
- Archway Trivium East located at 14130 West McDowell Road, Suite 222, Goodyear, AZ 85395
This service is open to all students in the network and is not limited only to those students currently enrolled at one of these locations.
Each location will offer a space to study, connectivity to the internet, and adult supervision during normal school hours. It will not include before or after-school care, transportation, academic support, or instruction. The service will be provided in large multi-age groups in multi-purpose rooms with possible overflow into other areas of the campus and staffed by Athenaeum employees, coaches, and staff volunteers.
Parents/Guardians will need to ensure that their student(s) have all of the tools needed to learn (i.e., fully charged laptop, headphones/earbuds with a microphone, charging cord, pencils, pens, paper, books, etc.), lunch, and a refillable water bottle.
The program will run Monday – Friday from:
- 8:00 AM – 11:45 AM for Kindergarten. Full-day Kindergarten will not be offered during this program.
- 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM for Grades 1-12
