Giving Tuesday at Archway Cicero and Cicero Prep
2024 is the tenth anniversary of the opening of the Cicero campus! The founders of Great Hearts knew that the academies that they proposed would cost more than what the state funds would cover. They truly believed that if families found value in the educational experience that we provide, that they would partner with us through donations, to keep our mission alive. Please give today, so that we can continue to provide the education and opportunities that your students deserve.
As we reflect on the past ten years, it is important to note that 33 out of our current Senior class of 47 students, began their experience in elementary school, on our Archway campus. 11 of our seniors started at Archway Cicero on the very first day that we opened our doors!
When we asked our senior families they chose Cicero, and more importantly, why they have continued to choose Cicero, there were some specific reasons that kept coming up: Academics, Morals, Community, and Opportunity.
Susan Wood, Mother of current senior Dylan, and Cicero graduate (current ASU student) Colin chose Cicero 10 years ago because of the strong curriculum, uniforms and smaller class sizes. They immediately loved the community, families and faculty at Archway Cicero with both Colin and Dylan making lifelong friends. Describing Dylan’s high school experience, she states that ‘Every day he is challenged to think critically, communicate and formulate concise arguments with his peers. He enjoys the wide variety of extracurricular opportunities, having become a leader in both Cross Country and Track. He also enjoys philosophy club, choir and playing in a band’. She believes that ‘the Great Hearts experience has created a strong work ethic, community, and the ability to overcome challenges within Dylan, and the entire Wood family’.
Brenda Birungi, Mother of current Senior Branjor, as well as Chriona who is in 10th grade, states that ‘From the very beginning, Archway Cicero provided an environment where my children could thrive academically, socially, and athletically. The Athletic Directors have continued to play a crucial role in Branjor’s development, as he participated in various sports, and they have helped him to secure collegiate athletic scholarships, which will be invaluable for his future.’
So please remember, as we head into Black Friday and Cyber Monday, that children will outgrow those toys and clothes, but your financial support of their education will continue to bring value to their lives, to your family, and to our community forever. Please take a moment to donate today.
