First Day of School Tips

First Day of School Tips:

General Tips:
• Make sure your locker is set-up. Feel Free to stay after orientation if you need more time.
• Get here early on the first day – doors open at 7am (7:20 rest of the year)
• Check out where every classroom on your schedule is.
• Bring two classes worth of materials from your locker so that you don’t have to visit it every period.
• If you have questions, feel free to approach any teacher. We are all here to help you and welcome you.
• Take the time to read through each class’ syllabus with your parents.
• Use your provided planner to write homework and keep track of tests and quizzes. Your parents and teachers will rely on this information to help support you.

On the first day, bring the following to every class :
• 2 sharpened pencils
• 1 red pen & 1 blue/black pen
• Two classes worth of notebook/binders w/ paper
• Planner
• No textbooks
• Joy

Drop-off
• Right lane exit passengers side to the sidewalk
• Left lane exit drivers side to crosswalk then cross to sidewalk. Don’t cross traffic!
• Prep doors open at 7am first day and 7:20 normal schedule – get there early

Pick Up
• Go right out the doors to the stop sign to wait to be picked up.
• Do not wait for pick up near crosswalk. It is closed during pick up.

Uniform/Electronics
• Take care to have your shirt tucked in. No logos on socks. Wear a belt if you wear shorts/pants. Clear nail polish. Dress shoes or black lace-up vans
• Cell phones are off in your locker all day. You can use them at the front office or in pick up area outside to call parents. Phones are confiscated if used elsewhere and may be picked up by a parent at front office
